MENISCUS TEAR SURGEON

Associate Professor Nigel Hope specialises in minimally-invasive meniscus tear surgery as well as arthroscopy, sports injuries, ACL tears, patient-specific knee replacement and anterior approach hip surgery.

A lecturer in orthopaedics at the University of Notre Dame and a popular GP and media commentator, Dr Hope is conveniently located next to the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney and also operates at the SAN Wahroonga and St Luke’s Darlinghurst.

THE FEMALE KNEE

One of the few orthopaedic surgeons in Australia with a research PhD (soft tissue injuries), Professor Hope has a special interest in “The Female Knee” including:

  • Post-menopausal knee pain
  • Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
  • Knee pain and the menstrual cycle

With more than 20 years’ experience as an orthopaedic surgeon and IME assessor, Professor Hope delivers timely, clear, unbiased and credible medical reports with a 24-48 hour time frame.

He is an Approved Medical Specialist and provides assessments for public liability, MVA, Worker’s Compensation for all orthopaedic injuries (knee, hip, ankle, elbow, shoulder, spine).
